It allows you to accurately follow marked lines or existing seams along the left side of the presser foot for consistent results. You can also use it to guide fabric strips evenly—perfect for attaching ribbons or stitching at a uniform distance from the edge.
Note: For L850 and L890 machines manufactured before July 2021 (code 61/07), an updated presser foot shaft is required to use the seam guides. Please contact your BERNINA dealer for details.
